Academies of Morris County Vocational School District Holding Info Sessions for 8th Graders on Saturday and Tuesday

The Morris County Vocational School District will hold an Information Session for the Academies of Morris County this Saturday, Nov. 14, at 10am. The session, held at the Morris County School of Technology, 400 East Main St, Denville, is for all interested eighth grade students and their parents. 


The Academy programs located at the Denville Campus are: Computer and Information Sciences, Culinary Arts, Design, Education and Learning, Finance and International Business, Health Care Sciences, Law & Public Safety, Sports Medicine, Veterinary Science, and Visual & Performing Arts.

The session for the Academy for Mathematics, Science and Engineering will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway.

The Academies provide high school students with challenging career and technical education programs to prepare them for the rigors of college and a future career. Additionally, our students enjoy all the benefits of an athletic program and extra-curricular activities within a small school atmosphere.  

In every case, students take a college-preparatory program that provides them with multiple options after graduation, including admission to some of the finest colleges and universities or a career path to entry-level employment in some of the nation’s fastest growing industries.   

An eighth-grade student has until Dec. 14 to apply. Applications are available for completion via online application at www.mcvts.org, click Admissions.
