Academies of Morris County Vocational School District Accepting Applications

The Morris County Vocational School District is encouraging eighth-grade students eligible to attend a Morris County high school to consider applying to one of the school’s academies. Applications are now available for completion via online application at www.mcvts.org/admissions

The Academies are individual magnet high schools that offer students a challenging and exciting curriculum designed to prepare them for the rigors of college and a future career. Additionally, our students enjoy all the benefits of an athletic program and extra-curricular activities within a “small school atmosphere”.

Students may select from twelve academies: Computer and Information Science, Culinary Arts, Design, Education and Learning, Environmental Science, Finance and International Business, Health Care Sciences, Law & Public Safety, Mathematics, Science and Engineering, Sports Medicine, Veterinary Science, and Visual & Performing Arts (Dance and Multimedia).

Students take a college-preparatory program that provides them with multiple options after graduation, including admission to some of the finest colleges and universities or a career path to entry-level employment in some of the nation’s fastest growing industries.

The application deadline for an eighth-grade student to apply is December 4, 2015.

For additional information, call the Morris County School of Technology at (973) 627-4600 ext.277 or visit the school’s website, www.mcvts.org.
